The Kotzschmar Organ
The Kotzschmar Organ, dedicated in 1912, is one of only two municipal organs in the U.S. with a Municipal Organist. Housed in the historic Merrill Auditorium in the Arts district of Portland, Maine, the Kotzschmar typically offers an annual concert series featuring guest artists from around the world. The Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ maintains and preserves the organ, in addition to producing and promoting concerts and managing the Kotzschmar Memorial Trust Scholarship.
