Deck the halls with Portland’s Municipal Organist James Kennerley and the spectacular Kotzschmar Organ. This Portland tradition is sure to make your holidays merry and bright with Christmas cheer. This is also the second year that the Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ will host a sock drive to benefit Preble Street Resource Center. As James is known for wearing flamboyant, colorful socks when he plays, the Friends thought it would be a great way to support community members in need during the holidays. And this year, warm gloves have been added to the list of requested items. Concert goers are invited to bring new, warm socks or warm gloves to Merrill Auditorium the night of the concert.
