PortTIX is Hiring!

PortTIX is Portland’s premier local independent box office based at Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine.

We sell tickets for both national and local promoters, including our owner
organizations Portland Symphony Orchestra and Portland Ovations. We pride ourselves on
giving customers convenient, secure and personalized service. A wide variety of promoters rely
on us to represent their events with excellent front end service.

We are looking for staff members who can help ensure that our customer service continues to evolve along with the changing needs of our audiences.

Our ideal candidate:
-Computer proficient
-Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
-Enjoys working closely with other staff and supervisors
-Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues
-Eagerness to take on office tasks as needed (data entry, administrative support, etc.)
-Experience with non-profits and/or performance venues

1 available position:
-Day-Time Ticket Seller | September – December | approx. 13.5 hrs/wk; M-W-F, 11:30-4:00

Basic Job Info:
-PortTIX is open for regular business Noon-6:00 PM, Monday-Saturday (closed Saturdays
in summer)
-Day shifts are M-F, 11:30 AM-6:00 PM (1/2 day shifts 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
-This is a seasonal position
-$12-13/hr (depending on skill and experience)
