Ticket Seller Position Open For Holiday Season

The PortTIX box office is hiring a Day Time ticket seller for the upcoming holiday season. We work closely with local arts organizations, including the Portland Symphony Orchestra and Portland Ovations, as well as national promoters to bring shows to Merrill Auditorium and other Portland venues. We serve a wide range of customers from the twenty-something who is excited about the upcoming rock show to the grandmother buying tickets for her granddaughter’s debut in the Nutcracker. This job is customer service focused with additional office support.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Enjoys working closely with other staff and supervisors
  • Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • Eagerness to take on office tasks as needed (data entry, administrative support, etc.)
  • Experience with non-profits and/or performance venues
Basic Job Info:
  • PortTIX regular business hours: Noon – 6:00 PM, Monday – Saturday (closed Saturdays from May-September; open in the evenings & on Sundays when we have events)
  • This is a seasonal position, running through the end of December
  • Day shift coverage needed: Mondays 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Tuesdays-Fridays 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 25 hrs/wk
  • $11/hr
